Fundamentals of telehealth will familiarise participants with the application of telehealth for the delivery of health services to patients in remote locations. The use of telehealth requires a change in practice. It is important to understand what telehealth is; common examples of telehealth used in clinical practice; how telehealth can be used to improve access to services and promote efficiency and equity; practical considerations when establishing a telehealth service; and important details which reflect the legal and ethical responsibilities of a practicing clinician.
